Who’s It For?
In recent years, Mizuno has invested heavily in their metal woods. Not content with just churning out excellent iron sets, the company’s latest ST series is a bold set of offerings that will change the way golfers view Mizuno woods. The Mizuno ST-Z Driver is an extremely low-spin driver that seeks to optimize both ball flight and ball speed to produce the longest, straightest drives possible. This driver is perfect for the golfer looking to reduce the curve and increase the total distance of his or her tee shots.
The Tech Story
The Mizuno ST-Z Driver features a brand new, Forged SAT2041 Beta Ti face. This highly resilient metal has been used in the past in the automotive industry and to create complex cycle parts. Its fine grain structure is inherently resistant to fatigue, and it is forged to withstand strong forces for years. The ST-Z also boasts 4 degrees of loft adjustability, allowing golfers to alter the look and performance of the club at will. The Wave Sole Plate featured on previous Mizuno drivers has been optimized to deliver increased ball speed numbers. One major aspect of the Mizuno ST-Z Driver that sets it apart from its counterpart, the ST-X, is its Z-Axis design creating a low spin, straight-line flight bias. Appearance-wise, the ST-Z’s profile is slightly wider and lower, with a neutral visual lie angle.
